During my graduate studies, I was inspired by space exploration,

Sputnik, and the Apollo moon landing. That curiosity led to a new body

of space-inspired sculptural work constructed with aerodynamics and weight

in mind. I also drew inspiration from later abstract paintings and brought

their style and visual language into vivid sculptures and vases.
